Type of Adventure: Snowshoe hike
Place of Adventure: Shrewsbury/PWMA
Length of Adventure, miles: approximately 2.25
Length of Adventure, hours: 1.5
Weather: Temps in the teens, windy, sunny
Companion(s): Colyn
Other Adventurers Encountered: 2 cross country skiiers.
Notes: 1. For the first time I noticed a plastic jar nailed sideways to the bulletin board at the trail head. Inside is a "guest book" where you can log when you visited, where you came from, what you saw, and anything else you feel like sharing. The book is dated for the beginning of Jan, but I'd never noticed it before. Mostly the same people seem to use the trail and document it. I added entries for Colyn and I. I'm very tempted to put a couple copies of the trail map inside. 2. The trail was packed down quite nicely this time, although I think only 1 or 2 other people used the short loop I followed last time. 3. I found the tree I had marked the first time Mom and I went out there. It was right next to where I fell last time Colyn and I went out. No wonder I didn't see it that time, I was busy flopping around on my back like a turtle. It turns out Mom and I were almost half way around when we turned around that time.
The Guest Book
The Map

The star is approximately where I marked the tree. And where I fell last time.

Thanks for the posting the Plymsbury map. It helps relate landmarks we knew about and trails we have hiked.
